These are so easy! You can use any type of board you want, as long as it's not too rough. If you're just starting out with decoupage I would recommend using a fiber and not a tissue. My favorite papers are the A1 and A2 fibers. These don't tear easily and are much more forgiving. The coat hooks I used are here .

Prior to retailing for Redesign with Prima I worked with IOD. This was an IOD transfer, but any transfer will work beautifully on a mirror.

When i'm thrifting i'm always looking for something i can either decoupage or put a transfer on. these were fun!
